Dirty South BBQ House: Savory Barbeque in Yuma, AZ

I randomly fell into this AMAZING spot! The food was delicious, hospitality was thorough, and family oriented. You HAVE TO SQUEEZE THE UTTERS LOL

I am so happy I found this gem of a restaurant! Wow I was so impressed by the start , the gentleman which I’m sure is the owner was so welcoming and friendly and made us feel so welcomed and at home , he offered and helped us out so much ! Now the food was absolutely phenomenal! Best bbq I have ever had , we had pretty much all the meats and sides and everything was 10/10 tasted so homemade and delicious! This place deserves the best bbq there is award ! They also kindly gave my Husband a military discount and thanked him for, they deserve the best review possible for their service and food !

Out of the way BBQ place. The food was good but unfortunately most of the staff were out sick so it took over an hour to get our food. I wish they told us that when we walked in as we were starving. But the staff were apologetic and nice. They sold ice cream and nice 2nd hand clothing, etc as well. Indoor/outdoor seating.

Best tasting brisket sandwich I have had in a long time. Portions are decent. Long line to order and pay. Sweet cashier. If you pay by cash, the beverage bar is free with ice tea, SWEET southern tea, lemonade, or water. My order was ready before I even got my drink. Lots to look at...one-of-a-kind items for sale from shoes and clothes to bric-a-brac. Keep looking, you'll find more that you didn't see the first time. Inside, patio, veranda and outside seating. You pick! I am so glad I stopped to eat here. Large parking lot. March 2025.

Recently, I found myself at an event with a Yuma resident. I knew I was coming into town in a few weeks so I asked him for a good place to eat. Without hesitating, he said Dirty South. So, here I am in Yuma, and decided to check out his recommendation. It was excellent. It was a Thursday evening so it wasn’t super busy. I picked a table and the wait staff immediately helped. I ordered the Texas toast brisket grilled cheese with the standard French fries. It arrived very quickly. And it was delicious. The only complaint I had was that the guy who brought me my food did not mention that I could get sauce by “milking the sow.” So I was half way through my sandwich before I realized it. Added the chipotle cherry BBQ sauce, which was great. I will definitely put this on my list of places to eat whenever I am in Yuma.

Food was delicious ! Must try. We had a pulled pork sandwich & a brisket grilled cheese sandwich We all enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be coming back. The French fries are soooo good too. Great service great food. Sorry I didn’t get a chance to get a picture of the food There’s also a little store inside, reminded me of a mini Cracker Barrel, very nice.

Ordered a combination platter in order to try several meats. It was all okay, but nothing stood out as a great flavor. I will say, as a side dish, I chose the BBQ beans and didn't like them. We also ordered ribs, they were probably the best thing we ordered. I wouldn't recommend the chicken, it was a bit dry, the brisket was good and I'd order it again. The food was brought out quickly, our server did a good job of checking up on us and keeping drinks filled. If you're in the mood for BBQ, it's worth trying this restaurant.

Food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh. The meat on the ribs was fall of the bone. The brisket had the perfect amount of fat to it. The corn bread was moist. The hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had from anywhere. I’m definitely ordering from here again.
